1 August 1895: Sister Bridget Elizabeth Hoey born to John Hoey and Jane Chesshire.

8 August 1895: Bridget Elizabeth Hoey baptized St. Joseph's Church, Newark, NJ. Daughter of John Hoey and Ann Jane Cheser. Sponsor Mary Chesher. Priest James J. Marshall. Note in baptismal record: This child was very sick and was simply baptized on Sept 8 without prayers (in church). Ceremonies were supplied on Sept 9.

4 October 1898: Patrick Hoey dies at the age of 73 of heart disease. Perhaps this is Nicholas's grandfather. Born in Ireland. He is buried at Cemetery of the Holy Sepulchre in East Orange, New Jersey on 5 October 1898 in Grave 6 Lot 146 Block L. Reverend: Duffy, J. F. Undertaker: Murray, W. A. Last address was St. Michaels Hospital.

Before 1900: Assumed that sister Ann Jane Hoey dies probably in Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey. In 1900, she would have been 11 years old.

Carter. A third child was born to the previous union, Mabel L. Carter, deceased. Mary Evelyn was born 9 June 1878 in Connecticut.
