Prior to moving to Pompano Beach, she resided in Rumson. She was employed as a waitress by several area restaurants before moving to Florida. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. She was predeceased by her parents, George Hoey and Jane Skinner Hoey. Surviving are a son, Alex Hoey of Pompano Beach; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Marianna Hoey, Rumson; a brother, Michael Hoey, Atlantic Highlands; two sisters, Susan Kelty and Jennifer Hoey, both of Spartanburg, S.C.; and longtime companion George Fiore of Pompano Beach. Services were arranged by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Cross Church on Dec. 29. Memorial donations may be made to Jason's Dream for Kids, 20 Monmouth St., Red Bank 07701. Robert Hoey, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, vice chair, has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1996. He has served as Board treasurer and was a member of the Fund Raising, Audit and Finance committees and currently serves on the Foundation's Executive and Endowment committees. Hoey is vice president for Investments with Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc., an investment firm in Moorestown, N.J.
