Teri Galusha 1959 - 2006 Teri
Galusha, 47, 2011 54th Ave. SE, Minot, ND, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in
her home. Teri Lynn Galusha was born on January 9, 1959, a
daughter of Herb and Bernice (Hoey) Galusha in Minot, ND. She was raised
in rural Minot and attended Bell School for six years. She then attended
Jim Hill Jr. High School and then Minot High School, graduating in
1977. She was employed part time at both the Minot
Livestock and Harrington Brothers. For several years she broke and trained
horses for people who could not do the job themselves, using a gentle hand
and repetition. Her gentle, humane philosophy brought her all the business
she could handle. She was also employed at Pinkerton Animal
Hospital. In the early 1980's, she became a Federal Crop
Adjustor, working in Ward and other surrounding counties.
She then attended Minot State University and received her B.S. degree in
Finance in 2000. After graduating from MSU, she began employment at
Community Action and worked there until ill health forced her to
retire. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a
lifetime member of the Minot Trail Riders, the Mouse River Trail Riders,
the ND Rodeo Association, the ND Horsefest Promotions Committee, and the
Lucky Horseshoe 4-H club, where she was a 4-H leader for several
years. She loved horses, dogs, and all animals. She also
enjoyed leather crafting, photography, and pottery.
Surviving family includes: her loving and caring mother, Bernice, Minot;
significant other, J.T. Rom, Denbigh, ND; special friend, Marvin Sylstad,
Minot; her leader dog, Dooley; and many close friends.
Teri was preceded in death by her father, Herb; brother, Mark H. Galusha;
maternal grandparents, Francis and Helen Hoey; paternal grandparents, Sid
and Metta Galusha; and her leader dog, Duke. Memorial
Service: Friday, June 16, 2006, at 10:30 a.m at Our Savior Lutheran
Church, Minot. Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot,
ND. Visitation: Thursday from Noon to 7 p.m. at
Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Memorials are
preferred to Community Action, Leader Dogs for the Blind, or to Trinity

Dorothy Rittierodt Spokane, Washington February 2, 2009
Dorothy Rittierodt, 88, of Spokane, WA, passed away on
Monday, February 2, 2009, at Holy Family Hospital. She was born March 13,
1920, the only child of Harry and Beulah Hoey, at Minot, ND. In 1931, the
family moved to Wenatchee where Dorothy graduated from high school in
1938. A later move was to Yakima, WA, and it was there that she met her
future husband, Henry, before marrying on Valentine's Day, 1942. They
would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year. After her
husband's discharge from the Navy in World War II, Dorothy and Hank moved
to Moses Lake where they lived for several years. She was a member of
various clubs in that area and was office manager for Doctors Tracy and
Long. The family eventually moved to Kennewick. Dorothy attended classes
at Columbia Basin College and was business manager for the Mid-Columbia
Urology Center and the Tri-City Urology Clinic for 22 years. She had been
a charter member of the Richland Business and Professional Women's Club.
Upon retirement in 1985, Dorothy and Hank moved to Wenatchee to care for
relatives. They were always looking out for the well being of others. The
couple traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico,
Europe and Hawaii. In 1999, they moved to Spokane to be near their
daughter and grandson. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother
and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Hank, at their home in
Spokane; daughter, Becky Woodruff and grandson Tyson Woodruff of Cheney,
WA; grandson, Cody Woodruff of Spokane; and a special cousin, Jack Durrett
of Wilsonville, OR. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Michael, who
died of cancer at the age of 26 in Kennewick, WA.
Graveside services will be held on her birthday, Friday, March 13, 2009,
at 1:00 p.m., at Riverview Heights Cemetery in Kennewick. She will be
joining her son, Mike, in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of
your choice. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones~Betts
Funeral Home.
